The Committee recommend that the Health Officer should receive $2,700—

as they consider that the Private Practice allowed has materially decreased in value of late years owing to steamers so entirely superseding sailing vessels, and to the former carrying their own Surgeons.

The Committee recommend that the pay of the Apothecary and Analyst be $2,400 and that of the Assistant Apothecary and Analyst $1,200.
